Cornish Yarg Baby 1kg
Cornish Yarg is made by hand at Lynher Dairies in Cornwall, by Catherine Mead. It takes its name from Alan and Jenny Gray who discovered the old recipe for nettle-wrapped cheese – Did you know Yarg is Gray spelt backwards.
A moist, slightly crumbly cheese made in Cornwall it has a creamy, lemony note and a mushroom flavour under the rind. Beautifully wrapped in edible nettles. hand-picked in nearby woodland these nettles are frozen at the time of picking to take out the sting before they wrap round these cheese during maturation.
Pairs well with dry cider, Dry white wine or a good sparkling wine.
