Description
In our opinion one of Frances finest cheeses. From the Franche – Comte it is made from unpasteurised milk from cows grazing on the mountain slopes. When summer is over the milk from the same cows is used to make the seasonal “Vacherin Mont d’Or. A whole cheese can weigh 50kg and are left to mature for at least 8 months. Comte Vieux has been matured for at least 20 months. The taste is strong but sweet. Everybody loves Comte.
